Night photography is one of the most interesting and satisfying photography types, offering great artistic opportunities and allowing us to see the world that we can’t see with a naked eye. This is also easy to learn and should not be a big challenge after a short time. However, it requires from you the basic knowledge of camera operation and, most of all, the manual mode as well as such functionalities as manual white balance setting or drive mode dial. You can find this information in our course on how to use your camera, or in the manual of your equipment. However, once we get through these strictly technical matters, we can have the pure joy of making photos at night. Night offers great possibilities to use lighting in a completely different way, not available during daytime. During the course, you will learn what you can expect of your equipment, and the ways to photograph the city, architecture, flowing water, landscape, portrait, moon… We will also reveal tips and tricks of how to work with a flash light, light painting, open flash techniques and HDR. Some course sessions end with important summaries that will help you master night photography.

REQUIREMENTS

Manual camera modes operation is a must, including white balance. All you need is the camera you have, it doesn’t need to be a professional camera, but remember that a camera with manual modes offers greater opportunities. However, the rules of photography and the best ways to work with light are the same for all camera types.
